 About B.Sc. Agriculture (Hons.)

The Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Agriculture (Honours), an undergraduate degree programme that focuses on different aspects of agriculture, such as Crop Production, Soil Management, Animal Husbandry, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Engineering, Plant Breeding, and Agricultural Extension. Students enrolled in the B.Sc. Agriculture (Hons.) programme will graduate with a thorough understanding of agricultural sciences and be ready for positions in government agencies, non-profit organisations, farming, agribusiness, research, extension, and consultancy Sevices. It gives students the information, abilities, and real-world experience they need to deal with agricultural issues and support rural development and sustainable food production.

Program  Outcome:

  • Being able to design a product or component while adhering to all applicable standards and practical limitations.
  • Being well-aware of one’s ethical and professional obligations.
  • Understanding weather symbols and codes, Analysing and documenting weather data and
    weather information.
  • To comprehend the methods for solving problems in animal husbandry and crop production.
  • To understand the basic principles and parts internal combustion engine and different tillage, sowing, intercultural, plant protection equipment, working principles of threshers, harvesting of field.
Eligibility CriteriaIntermediate /10+2 with PCM/PCB/PCMB/ Agriculture (P- Physics, C-Chemistry, M-Mathematics, B-Biology) from a recognized Board/ University with min. 45% marks and relaxation in marks for reserved category candidates shall be given as per GOI/ University rules.
